Audition Instructions

 

1. Print & fill out pages 1 & 2 of the Audition Packet & pay your $75 registration fee. You will not be included on the cast list until your fee has been paid. Your registration fee is essential to our show & helps provide costumes, sets, make up, lighting and sound as well as a cast t-shirt, party and video of the show for your student.

2. Mandatory Group Audition -- Sign up online (coming soon!). Will take place Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in the MGES gym. Students will be taught a short song and dance segment as part of this audition. Students can also sign up to be a specialty dancer and will have a short dance segment to learn this day as well. If you are NOT trying out for a lead role this is the only audition you need to attend. No preparation needed! Wear comfy clothes & bring your Audition Form.

3. Lead Role Auditions -- Sign up online (coming soon!). Will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 1 & 2. Auditions will be held on the MGES stage, please prepare an audition song & monologue using the materials provided below.

*Important Dates*​

 

• Parent Meeting:  Monday, Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. in the MGES commons.

• Auditions:  Tuesday & Wednesday, Sept. 1 & 2. Cast list to be posted by Saturday, Sept. 5.

• Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. in the MGES gym for all cast members. Leads will have additional rehearsals on Wednesday mornings.

• Dress/Tech Rehearsals will (tentatively) be Nov. 16, 17 & 18 at Morgan High School.

• Performances will (tentatively) be Nov. 19 & 20 at MHS with two performances per night.
